“Success comes from taking action… and making mistakes is part of the learning process,” asserts Huey Lee, whose own learning process has built him a highly profitable Internet marketing enterprise, Quick Reach Marketing.
Making mistakes, Lee continues, is not just normal, it is integral to achieving success online, “because it means you’re learning something new,” he adds.
Lee, who is based in Santa Clara, CA, is talking to one of his Internet marketing clients, John Gitonga. Lee is helping Gitonga build an online fitness business that, Lee asserts, should allow Gitonga to quit his corporate engineering job within the next six months.
Gitonga, whose own learning process has been kickstarted by Lee’s hands-on consulting, is quick to concede the challenge of believing that mistakes represent progress, rather than failure. “Being an engineer in corporate America, you’re expected to do something right before you actually do it,” he explains. That expectation—and corporate America’s taboo on making, much less admitting to, mistakes—often leads to procrastination, Gitonga explains, “because there’s a sense of fear or failure.”
“There’s an intimidation factor with people who are just starting out,” adds Lee. But to be successful online, he continues, you must not let that fear hold you back. “You just have to take the plunge jump in the swimming pool. The water will always be cold, but if you jump in, it does get warmer as you move around.”
Gitonga, in fact, is already beginning to experience those warmer waters. Gitonga, Lee explains, is “using the concepts of my (Quick Reach Marketing) product.” Equally important, though, is that “John fully understands the process and procedure behind what he’s doing.” Understanding the entire process, Lee adds, is “very important for everyone getting started because you really must understand what everything is doing process-wise before you start automating your Internet marketing with software.”
Gitonga, who has spent the past five years wanting to pursue his dream of online success, has only recently begun to take action. According to Lee, that is a common pattern. Many who aspire to online success, who want to learn how to profit from Internet marketing, “have already been struggling for the last year online trying to make heads or tails of what you’ve been reading,” Lee says. “I want to say that it’s okay to struggle. It’s okay to have missing pieces. It’s also okay to ask for help.” In fact, Lee adds, “asking for help is probably the best thing you can do for yourself” during your journey toward online success.
Gitonga, who just recently sought out Lee’s assistance, agrees wholeheartedly. Since starting to work with Lee, his outlook has changed completely. “Based on the level of success that I’ve had just within the last couple of months of really getting my hands down and dirty and doing the work, I can see this progressing to the level that it’s providing enough success and income that I can walk away from my corporate engineering job and do extremely well on a monthly basis.”
In just a couple of months of working with Huey Lee and consistently taking action steps toward his dream of online success, Gitonga’s life is already beginning to change.
